At the foot of the 750 metres Montgo mountain and next to the sea and to the Cape San Antonio, the most remarkable and visual cape of the region and reference for the vessels navigation in the Mediterranean in the past.
The Cabo de la Nao, the most important of the Spanish Mediterranean by its geographical location, is the one that enters the sea in more deep on this part of the peninsula and is separated only 48.8 NM from Ibiza, being possible to view the island on a clear day.
In this strategic location is where all the SVS Rescue Bases deployed along the Spanish coast are coordinated, as well as other services and Special Operations.
Our fleet tracking systems provide constant real-time position information, speed and heading of the LR boats. Also, VHF repeater stations are linked from the highest mountains of the coast, from where we provide a continuous signal thanks to energy accumulators that have several days of energy reserve without sunlight.
